well to start i just a got a 1992 RS 25th anniversary t-top camaro for $500 the car has set up for 8 years i know this car from when it got parked it was a creaked flywheel i know i wanna keep the 305 and 700r4 cuz its matching numbers know i dont wanna hear 350 this 350 that im not dumb i know a 350 is the best way to go but im just looking to bring her back to life with a lil more power but i know where a wrecked vette is with the ls1 in it still runs wireing trans the works but i dont wanna go that route

 

if you dont want to mess with chips do a full exhaust and a good open or dual snorkel intake(air cleaner) best bang for the buck. Also a good tune up with a hot coil and good wires and cap/rotor. bump the timing a tad.. 2-6* and enjoy.

 

i feel you im rebuilding it anyways so i was thinking about caming it out and maybe 30 over if it can take it and im looking at a set of 202 heads for a 350 i can get cheap off a friend of mine he went bigger and took those off his drag car and i was told they would bolt right on and a set of shorty headers that was give to me

 

Ya don't over-cam based on DCR. That's the worst compromise. Cam for the heads, then check the cranking compression.

202 valves wont work with a cam over 400 lift with out some good block work... stick with 194 max valve size. The valves will bash in to the cylinder walls.

 

i think im just going to rebuild it nothing super and thinking take it out and put it in the shop and drop a 350 in it but thing is can you put the 700r4 to a 350 with the same cpu

 

Not in a 1992... you will need to burn a new chip or get EBL Flash.
