Idle screw

So I was being dumb and adjusting my idle and the little nut that goes on the screw came off. I don't know how to get it to come out enough to put the nut back on it. 1992 Firebird 3.1 L

You should never need to touch that unless you have replaced something. I'm guessing, your guessing at whats wrong with your car..

Re: Idle screw

Poke it with a pick/punch and pry it out. Its a freeze plug.
The bolt has a spring and prolly wont let you screw it out much farther.
Id say you need a new screw.

Re: Idle screw

I just got off work and i was looking before it got dark outside. The thing with the two hoses coming out of it is what is causing the problem. I just replaced it and i believe the smaller hose is slightly to small but i don't think the autoparts store here has a hose that would fit it better so is there a way i could "rig" it long enough to get a better hose.
