I'm pretty bored and am just curious on what everyone thinks my car will run when it is all finished. I am really hoping for low 12's. The car is a 1985 camaro t-top with no air conditioning and no back seats. I am in the process of the build and have came a long way but money is tight so it is going to be a while before EVERYTHING is finished. But here is a list of everything it is going to have.

ENGINE:

-355 4 bolt 10.0:1 Compression

-Lunati Voodoo Hydraulic Flat Tappet 276/284 duration .501/.525 lift 2200-6400

-1.5 full roller rockers

-Weiand X-CELerator single plane intake manifold 2000-6500

-190cc 64cc Pro Comp heads (from skipwhite performance) with 2.02/1.6 PBM valves and .550 lift springs

-Holley 750cfm (not double pumper)

-3 core radiator with dual electric fans

TRANSMISSION

-700R4 Built to handle 500+ horsepower

-2200 stall (transmission builder says that it will work fine with my cam)

-Stage 2 shift kit

-B&M Mega Shifter with reverse lockout and neutral safety switch

REAR END

-7.625 10 bolt

-3.73 Yukon gears

-Yukon Dura Grip Positraction

-Yukon 28 Spline Axles

SUSPENSION

-KYB gas struts

-KYB gas shocks

-Polyurethane Front/Rear Sway bar bushings and end links

TIRES/WHEELS

-Weld Pro Stars 15-8/6

-215/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A

-275/60R15 Hoosier Drag Radials

EXHAUST

-Hooker Competition Shorty Headers 1 5/8inch

-Dual 3" pipes into a 3" X pipe into the mufflers then dumped before the back tires

-Dynomax Glasspack Bullet Mufflers

Re: 1/4 run?
Not a bad combo at all.

One of my buddies has a very similar 355 in his 1970 Nova, but with old-school "double hump" heads. Same exact cam you have, RPM Air Gap, 700 Holley DP, 3.73's, and a 3000 stall. The car runs and sounds great, makes for a fun weekend toy.

On crappy street tires with a 60' best measured with a calendar he still managed an 8.50 1/8th at 85mph. Going on my completely unscientific butt-dyno analysis I think with a set of real tires it'd run 7.8-7.9 in the 1/8th, which converts to a ~12.35 1/4 IIRC.

Oh ok. What would you suggest to get it in the low 12's?
