Someone gave me a set of those, just trying to figure out if it's worth it to buy the frame mounts and use them

Ah, the solid motor mounts. I used them years ago on my race car. They eliminate flex and twist compared to normal mounts and you don't need to chain the left front of the engine down.
Good for a race car but for a street car, you would be better off with a set of poly mounts which are much better than the factory rubber.
I use front and rear motor plates now. No mounts on the sides of the engine which can cause cylinder wall distortion.
