Adjusting the timing

Hi.
I hope I can get the help of someone knowledgeable on this forum.
I need assistance with "stock" basic setting on timing on my car.

In the manual it says "Set timing according to instruction on emission control information label"
My decal is long gone.
I have been given advice on everything from 0 to 10 degrees btdc.

grateful for the links or the whole procedure step by step.

My car. 1987 Firebird Trans Am GTA. L98. 5, 7 l 350 TPI.
