What gear is in there now? If you have 3.42s in there don't bother with 3.73s.... if you have 2.76-3.23 then definitely get 3.73s

Wow there have to be at least 8 current threads about 3.73.

Check the RPO codes but the only way to be 100% sure is to pull the cover and count teeth.

Do you have the 205hp or 230hp engine?

Out of gas? Now we got the flippant answer out of the way. Does it crank? If so need to check for spark and fuel basically. lots of articles on that on here.

As far as the correct gear ratio goes you CANNOT trust the RPO codes on 30 year old cars we tend to change gear ratios drivetrains etc..... The only way to know exactly what you are dealing with is to do a rear end service take the differential cover off and look at the ring gear that will say something like 41-10 etc. The divide the numbers 10÷41=4.10 your rear end could probably need servicing anyway

On to your new issue either your ICM (ignition Controll module) has gone bad or possibly your fuel pump went south.

Those are fine for Mustangs. You gotta think, it's a whole different car though.
