Who Here Flat Out Has The Most Powerful Car?
I wanna know who on this site has the car producing the highest numbers. Post 'em. Anything with an original production third gen body qualifies.
P.S. If the guy before you posts a larger number, don't post yours!!! I'll start at 258 rwhp and 327rwtq.

Never had mine on a dyno but I'm estimated right around 1000hp without any power adders.

AndrewGT (or whatever his name on here is) is making some crazy power in his bird. Don't remember exact numbers but I believe on a proper tune it was well over 1k hp.

Re: Who Here Flat Out Has The Most Powerful Car?
Yup his bird is very powerful. Fireballs build will also be way up there. Mine will have some good numbers too but not quite their level unless i really push the boost. They have the fuel systems and bigger turbos to support more than i can ever make.
The drag boards have the big racers and fast guys. Some dont post up much. There is a small block nitrous car that has touched high 4's in the 1/8 mile too but hes not on this board i dont think.
Couple of big block street cars too with spray running near 7's that are on here.
But flat out most powerful its gotta be the drag radial guys like Ray jr. 178 in the 1/8 is tons of hp

That's crazy that someone has managed four's in the 8th. And Alky, I've always considered your car the most impressive on this site because its all engine. I wouldn't even know where to start to hit those numbers with no boost. Awesome numbers guys

Re: Who Here Flat Out Has The Most Powerful Car?
It's easy to make big power with a power adder. Blower, turbos or NOS are always options plus it makes the engine more driveable when it's not under boost. I prefer the simplicity of "all engine" and I'm not worried about low power driveability. My car is track only. The only driving it needs to do when not under WOT is back up the return road, through the pits and staging lanes. My engine would not work very well for a street cruiser even if it ran on gasoline.
I make power with cubic inches but that's also what boost does. Every time you increase boost 1 bar, you're theoretically adding the engine displacement to the original displacement. A 2L 4 cylinder engine running 30 pounds of boost is similar to a 6L engine but without all the weight. There's all kinds of other factors involved as well. The more boost you make, the hotter the air is that enters the engine and the larger charge air cooler you need to bring the temperatures down. NOS is a little different because it cools the air going into the engine slightly. They all have their positives and negatives.
Nothing screams HP like seeing a big roots blower sticking out of the hood but compared to other types of power adders, they're not very efficient but I would still prefer one for a drag car. Centrifugal blowers are increasing in popularity because the hot air can be routed through a cooler. Turbos are very popular because no energy from the engine is used to power them.

Im with you Alky I like ballsy N/A motors myself but I like to drive them on the street lol. something about a car loping down the street at 40mph makes some heads turn. Drives just fine, just tuning.
