hello everybody. I have a 82 pontiac trans am, 305 computer control carbureted, 700r4 that came with the car. The car has needed a lot of repair and wiring repairs. I rewired all the wiring under the car but the last thing I havent done is wire the converter lockup on the transmission. Im not entirely sure but i think the car came stock with either a 200r4 or turbo 350. as per the wiring schematic there are only 2 wires that go to the transmission. the 700r4 has 3 wires. Correct me if im wrong but I think it only needs 2 wires in the trasmission to be hooked up and the 3rd wire is to ground the blue wire to tell the pcm ecm that the trans is in 4th gear. my ecm does not have that blue wire coming out of it. i could not find a blue wire for trans and the wire schematic doesnt show it. so my questions are, what do you think came stock on the 82 trans am? and do you have any 700r4 connector pin identification to tell me exactly what wires to hook up to the computer to the transmission? replying back without pictures is not going to help me.. im really looking for where the wires connect to each pin to the transmission connector. Any help is grateful. ---> here is the wire schematic that I have that matches my car so far. only 2 wires to the trans as per the picture and physically on the car.. help with pictures please !!

 

here is a later model wiring schematic only to show you that i think i dont need the blue wire hooked up.. I think i just hook up the A and D wires let me know what you guys think! thanks !! I still need to find which pins in the connector for identification of a,b,c,d.. the easiest things are always so hard.. lol
