foot on the gas, but not going anywhere
recently i have had a lot of work and a lot of problems with my 90 rs. 1st the car died on me while i was driving on the freeway, the engine just gave out. so i took it to the shop and they told me i need a new fuel pump and a new fuel sending unit. got the car back the next day, but when i started it the car was shaking and a lot of smoke was kicking out the back and look like sludge or oil marks on the driveway where i started my car.
so i took it back to the same mechanic and he told me it was a leaking fuel injector, so he replaced it which fixed the smoke problem(while it idled) but the car was misfiring a lot. there was a time when i was driving up a hill had my foot on the gas all the way and the car wasnt going over 35 with alot of smok coming out again.
then i took it to another mechanic and he gave me a full tune up (new spark plugs, ign wires, distributor cap and rotor, timing seal, and an oil change). car came back great felt like the car was running smoother and with a little more power. but since then each time i start my car for the first time of the day the engine shakes a little bit and shakes when i put it in reverse. and another problem im having now is the cars rpms doesnt go over 2000 rpm when my foot is all the way down on the gas and after about a 2-3sec delay it will kick into gear. and the wierd thing is that after i run my car for about 20 min around town, all of the problems go away and car goes back to normal.
anyone have any ideas, this has been causing me a lot of stress
