After finding my Camshaft Thrust Plate was broke and Water in the Oil I tore down the engine and got new gaskets new thrust plate and figured I'd just flush the oil a couple times but once I got it all back together I have a erratic knock and it's not a full on knock its more of a slight tap knock that's bothering me, oil pressure is steady at 25 at idle at operating temp idling at 1000 rpm "Tach might be off a little" all the way up to 50 psi at 3000 rpm, the knock only happens at low rpm and sometimes goes away for a few seconds and then comes back.

The only thing that comes to mind is a bearing, but why is the Oil Pressure fine? Could this be anything else something simple I hope... It helped when I found the break booster was still unhooked but still didn't make it completely go away.

Under load the knock almost goes away completely, R-OD-D-2-1 but in P or N you hear the knock more but still faint. If I can't figure it out I'll have to save up and get a engine hoist so I can actually pull the engine and check bearings.

 

Pull spark plug wires and see if it goes away. If you can isolate it to one cylinder you can say it's bearings.

I took the time and adjusted the Carb A/F some more and smoothed it out a little, then got to messing with my timing light hit every plug wire and #7 don't light up hardly ever... I pulled the plug and it sparks but I'm guessing its not got enough spark to allow the light to pick it up, it's gapped at 0.045 so the gap is the same as the rest, could this knock be the sound of the plug not igniting the fuel?? Would that just be the cap, I tried 3 other wires I had extras and they all did the same.
