Cam recommendation

Im running a vortec based 350 crate motor. Im unsure of what it has for a cam currently but is was originally purchased for a 4x4 truck so im guessing nothing special, I got it with about 10,000 for $300 when the truck rotted out.

Gonna pull the engine this winter and do some work to it, gonna go through the stock vortec heads, change the intake and cam. Was planning on using a street dominator intake, sticking with the holley 670 street avenger that I have now. Car has a manual transmission with 3.70 rear gears. This is pretty much strictly a street car that was built to have fun.

I want a cam that makes power alittle higher up in the RPM range as that is where the car spends most of it's time with the 3.70 gears. Any recommendations?

Re: Cam recommendation

I didn't feel like changing the cam in my Vortec 350 so I just put some Dart 180 SHP heads on it along with some Scorpion 1.7 roller rockers. They clear my centerbolt valve covers. It ran a 12.8 @ 105.
