I was wondering can I use a 98 v6 Camaro mini starter on my 350?

Well the 98 v6 should be a buick 3800, it's not the same engine family as a sbc.

i asked this question a while back. i had heard they are a direct bolt on, but couldnt confirm. the part numbers i compared were very close (1 digit difference) and the pics i could find, they looked the same. both were 153 tooth count.

I'm fairly certain, a 2.8 3.4 Jbody starter is the same as the SBC and 4.3.

I'd have to go back and check it out.

Thanks yeah I heard that they use the same flywheel just trying to find a cheap option for a mini starter

It should work, a lot of Buick guys with the 3.8l RWD engines use a LT1 or LT4 starter.

the head of the starters seem to face a different way online. just to clear that up. the lt4 starter has no shroud covering the pinion gear
