Typically the line comes from one of the vac ports on pass side rear of the plenum to the one way valve you show.
Rear port of that valve goes inside to HVAC, the side port goes to the vac ball with (maybe ) a T off for the cruise control

That line connects the plenum to the HVAC controls on the pass rear of the engine bay and in front it connects to the cruise servo and the vac ball. The little plastic piece is a check valve

Re: vacuum line identity?? where to connect??
ok, I think I see where the larger end of the vacuum line goes, on the pass side of the plenum are two large ports, one is in use and the other is capped. I followed the long vacuum line from the plenum to the vacuum ball, then it goes to the right to what looks likes something that has a brake line going into it... then I found one more line that's hanging, smaller than the plenum hose port....
so... I assume I uncap that extra plenum and connect the larger vacuum line to that but not sure what to do with the extra smaller one up front??.
hope I made sense, heres pics...

Re: vacuum line identity?? where to connect??
and only goes to the vac ball ( with a T off the line to the CC if fitted to your car).
You will see the line in question from the check valve to the vac ball has no connection to any of the charcoal canister purge ( CCP ) components you are suggesting hooking up to
In fact that vac line does not even appear on the diagram you have , all CCP vac connections are as shown on the printout ;to the front , mainly to the TB
