car refuses to start!

So my car has been running really rich for a long time(probably ever since i bought it 7 months ago) I don't know though because i was kind of naive when it came to cars. it was also missing and had a bad hesitation. it also would randomly start surging but that only happened a few times. So basically last week it started to run like crap right after i filled it up with 87 pure gas from a empty tank. on my way home from the gas station it died several times and it refused to idle. Once i got home the car would idle but had a bad miss and the exhaust smell was very noticeable. So i took it to a friends house to get an opinion from his very knowledgeable father he told me it probably was one of the sensors. He had me hold the brake and try to take off. He said it was blowing black smoke and he told me to change out the sensors i had replaced. The following day i started it up and I looked at the tailpipe and liquid was literally being sprayed out the exhaust it appeared to be gasoline by smell. it was also smoking very bad. So I got the bright idea to try to reset the ecu. By the way I was checking for codes at this time using the paperclip method. I had reset the ecu when i changed the o2 sensor so basically no codes showed up. So i go out yesterday morning and re hook the positive battery cable and start it up. the car idles for a second then begins to bog down and miss and eventually dies. so I try to restart the engine and i t just turns over and wont fire so i continue to try. The best i get is a cylinder firing every few revolutions. So I get frustrated and conclude that i flooded it. The next morning i go to try to start it same thing. anyway i pull a spark plug and its completely black on the and wet. so i replace all of them with ac delco plugs while making sure to gap every single one. I try it still nothing. the best ive got it so far to start is have someone pushing on the gas pedal while i spray starting fluid in the throttle. Now i have a dilemma my battery is sparking every time i go to start the car from the positive terminal and gets super hot its not little sparks either im talking about touching two jumper cable together criss crossed sparks. The bolt that holds it on to the battery gets super heated and actually welded part of my amp wire onto the battery. now I am afraid to even mess with it Extra info:The car is a 91 v6 3.1l firebird auto trans. I have repalced the map sensor the IAT sensor and the o2 sensor in the last month. car ran considerably well before that.

I suggest you do a full check of the spark system

http://easyautodiagnostics.com/gm_ic...n_module_1.php

then you can move on to the fuel

You obviously know better .
A wet plug is a good indication that it is not firing correctly
Being able to see a spark on the outside and having a strong enough spark inside the cylinder to fire a wet plug are 2 different things

The fluid vaporizes and lights up easier that gas , that is why it is called " starting " fluid

Could well be but you gotta start testing one or the other ; fuel or spark .
Pick one
