Ok been tuning my car starts up fine just iun garage idles no problem for weeks. runs in open loop better then closed but I know injector issue.

well few weeks ago started up and 15 min drive idle fine but ricj ok then just stalled. It diont shutoff and die car stopped. power was still on/ well after trial and error and finding plenty of gas but no spark I changed coil rotor icm cap

still no luck and no spark, well i put old coil back in, and car fired right up. been that way for weeks.

now after idling for 10 minutes nice and solid just stopped again wont fire. it is late so I stopped but wondering is this bad coil agian ( i dout it)

fuel system is new and good pressure. but injectors are original

what is this? bad distributor or pick coil (it appears very rust under the dist plate) I have not pulled code again yet but I have seen just the 42 in past

Thanks. I did not have time last night, it was dark and I was fed up after just completing reinstally my new seats and carpet and wideband only to have car stall in parking lot.

I will trouble shoot spark at coil, dist,plugs and quickly identify problem and swap parts again and probably fire up my concern is why is it unreliable. It seems perfectly fine then crap. I have not really driven car just idle and 5 minute in and out of garage so maybe I am running into heat issues.

I will check coil and ICM I am assuming culprit. Possibly bad pickup coil. can this be replaced without pulling dizzy? is it hard to pull dizzy and install and get right timing?

I have new injectors to install so looks like this weekend project. But if it was heat related injector issue, I can not image all 8 would fail or clogged up once heated. Since once they are cooled down car still does not start I think it is a elec problem.
