The right heads
Hello, thanks for taking the time to help me out (I'm new to this). I have a L31 for my Camaro. I have a lot of the build planned out, but my problem is heads. I have the 906 vortec heads. The heads if ported and polished don't seem bad. But I'm super limited on what intakes I can use. The stock intake would always be a point of restriction. My question is, what are some aftermarket heads that would be good for my build? I kinda like the assault 200cc heads. But I'm doing a lt4 hotcam, and hopefully a ported and polished Lt1 intake with headers and 10ish compression. (That intake if the heads support it). From what I've read the 906 heads have a unique runner angle that most intakes don't. That's what's swirling around my head, if anyone can make sense of it, any input would be greatly appreciated. I just haven't seen enough intake options for my 906 heads to justify using them. (325 rwhp goal btw)

Re: The right heads
You did not search very hard then. Considering the assault racing heads don't seal right unless you use the same intake as the 906 heads.
Edelbrock 7116 or 7516 will do the job. Or you can get one of the cheap Chinese copies if you are going carbed.
The LT1 manifold is reverse cooled so you cannot use it on your motor or the assault heads
You can get a vortec TPI base if you want to stay MPFI

Re: The right heads
The lt1 intake can be modded to fit. I got a quote from a machine shop for $250 rough estimate to do it. I'll look at those heads, thanks man!

Re: The right heads
I like the tpi one for sure, do ls injectors fit in the pre ls intakes? I've never messed with newer ls motors, just newer gm v6's.
