May need to replace mine, and I see gobs of them on eBay for about $35-$40, and all say for 305 tpi. I have the 350, and when I put it in "compatible vehicles" it doesn't tell me I can't use it, but still says "305 tpi" under the "engines" column. Just thought I'd run it by the forum before I purchase.

As far as I am aware, yes...

All the solenoid is, is an electronically operated valve. Like a light switch on your wall. The light will come on the same no matter whether it's a Leviton, P&S, Hubbell, etc. switch; whether the switch is ivory, brown, gray, white, etc; whether it's a regular, quiet, snap, mercury, Decora, or whatever; whether you wire it by wrapping the wires around the screw, or put em behind the little plate, or push em in; and on and on. That's all that solenoid is, is an on/off valve, like a switch. Vacuum: yes/no. You could even get one off of some other car, and as long as you have the right plug for it, it'll do the same thing any other one would.

They basically NEVER fail.

Ok, that was kind of what I figured. Most people seem to think its more the egr valve than the solenoid. Getting a code 32 after I drive about 5 miles, which would seem to indicate the valve is not opening. I wanted to check on the solenoid just to be sure. I can move the valve with my fingers, and when I put a vacuum on the egr I can hear it moving up and down, so the line is clear and it's not completely seized up. I don't mind taking the plenum off to get to it, I wanted to clean and maybe paint the plenum anyway, along with cleaning up the top of the intake. So no biggie, I just wanted some information to confirm. Thx.

Yeah the EGR valve itself may be different; some of those have a sort of "restriction" in them, to regulate the amount of EG that gets R'ed. And a good reason for a different that, would be CID. But the solenoid, I think it's a safe bet you can sub.
