hey you guys my oil pressure on my 1990 trans am is hovering dangerously low i dont like going below 30 lately its been getting lower and lower....from what i have read on here the 1987 and earlier cars have the oil pressure sending unit separate from the oil pressure switch (the one by the oil filter).....i cant find the metal bell shaped sending unit by the dist.....i want to rule out a wonky oil pressure gauge...im thinking that the sending unit and oil pressure switch are the all in one deal that is by the oil filter from what i have read on here and i dont see one to buy that sits near the distributor for 1990 trans am at the auto parts places......and i cant get under car and where do ya get a mechanical gauge and how do i hook it up.

If you can't get under the car , for whatever reason , It's likely best of you to hire someone who CAN get under the car .
