Air Cleaner Sensor Question

I have what I hope is a minor issue. I'm in the process of changing my air cleaner sensor and both of my manuals simply say to keep the orientation of the new sensor the same as the old one being replaced. Now I kinda failed to take note of that when I took out my old one.
Does any one have any helpful information on how to tell if you have the new one installed correctly?

Re: Air Cleaner Sensor Question

No worries on the actual position it is at when screwed back into the air cleaner. As long as it is actually in th air cleaner and plugged in, your good to go!

Re: Air Cleaner Sensor Question

Thanks, my other worry is which hose goes in where on the bottom two connections, one hole is very tiny and the other much larger, so my guess is that the hoses need to be connected in a certain order?? Maybe not I don't know??

Re: Air Cleaner Sensor Question

It could be but I've never seen it.
But my question is about how the hoses connect to the sensor.
The two places for the tubes to connect to I will assume need to be put on in a correct order, by this I mean which hose goes to which plug?
one has a very tiny hole and the other much larger.
I can attach a picture if needed?

Re: Air Cleaner Sensor Question

They're two different size hoses, it can only go one way. Larger hose from the carb goes to the larger nipple.

OK perhaps this will help? You can see the position of my sensor and the bottom showing the two different sized holes... which tube goes to which post is the answer I'm looking for.

Bump!
Still getting mixed signals on how these hoses get hooked up to the air cleaner sensor.... I can't BELIEVE this is so difficult to get a straight answer about.
