Not gonna happen with those crap heads and intake and small carb

Re: 383 Build cam suggestions

Head casting that will flow closer to 270's cfm or more. 10.5:1 comp aluminum head 9.8-ish:1 iron head

Preferably a hyd roller in the low 230's at .050, mid upper 280's advertised duration. .550" lift or abit more.

Vic jr preferred or a ported performer rpm intake. 750 carb

Re: 383 Build cam suggestions

I agree with Orr as stated above. Not gonna get much performance with those heads. I think those heads are for a 305 sbc. Once you choose a better set of heads preferrably something in the 195 to 200 cc heads , then I would ask for cam suggestions. You wanna build the motor so you have a matched combo. But this all depends on what you want to use this motor for.
