Installing a Coil on stock bracket, can sitting sideways cause problems, need help-

Hey all been really overwhelmed with life haven't been on in awhile. Well my coil crapped out on me and I decided to grab MSDs replacement (8226) we'll I'm having trouble getting this mega coil to fit under my air cleaner (stock) and I see that I would be able to install it in the stock location but only if the coil is sitting sideways. Could this cause any problems? Thanks all

OEMs installed coils on their sides for years.
My MSD Blaster coil has been sideways on the firewall for several years. Can't say it's caused any issues.
