Any idea how many horses?

Im new to the internet forums so please bear with me. I have a 350 .060 over with summit flat top pistons and a 272TL-6 Comp cam. 041 chevy heads with 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust with bigger upgraded springs and pinned studs. 1.5 roller rockers with stud girdles. Edelbrock performer intake and edelbrock 600cfm carb. Anyone running something similar? Just need a guesstimate on how much power Im lookin at..all help is appreciated.

I ran a cam quest dyno on your setup. It is fairly liberal (10-20%)
I have assumed you have shortie headers with no cat, but an attached muffler. Depending on the port work on the heads, you are looking at 375-425hp (-10 TO 20% BASED ON THE LIBERAL NATURE OF CAMQUEST)

I would guess that your acutal power falls around 340-400hp at the crank.
It may be off, but my combo says 475hp at the crank on Camquest, and there is no way mine makes 400whp. It is more like 440hp at the crank and 350 or 360 at the wheels.

If you want to play with the program go to www.camquest.com.

It isn't perfect by any means, but it will give you food for thought.

And silly as it is..I do have a cat with pipes lol. Sounds decent for 2.5 inch. And what size carb should I be running?

Anything away from an Edelbrock if you actually want it to perform anywhere near reasonable. 750 with manual secondaries.

Re: Any idea how many horses?

And is the 2 1/2 pipe gonna be to small? Also im in n.c and have to have catalytic converter for the safety part of inspection so would gutting it and reinstalling be good or bad? And can the carb really melt down the cat?

Hey truckerz is there any way you can run my setup again please? New intake and carb on order so id like to see of any better. Specs are 350 .060 over with flat tops, 041 heads with minor port work with 202 160 valves and big springs. 272TL-6 cam with 1.5 rockers and victor jr intake and holley 750 double pumper. Shorty headers and 2 1/2 in exhaust with cat and muffler. Thanks in advance and all hints or info is much appreciated!!

Re: Any idea how many horses?

I will when I get home. I'd drop the cat and get a high flow muffler. ... or get rid of the muffler all together. You have short tube headers, long tubes, or manifolds? Is your intake ported? Single plane or dual plane? Minor port work on the heads will help, and the valves at good, but power is in the head. If it's in your budget, pick up some afr. Or profiler 195s. They flow way way better than the 041s. Duh. .... missed the details in your last post. ....Victor Jr and shorties. ....

Re: Any idea how many horses?

I got 425hp. 422tq. Your heads kill it.

You could get 475 hp 450 tq by getting some good heads. Aside from that, cutting your cat out. .... or installing a exhaust cut out in front of it, Quest says 466 hp 462tq. With your current heads. Again. .... This is just guesswork. There are lots of other things that make horses.

Re: Any idea how many horses?

466 was the no cat or no muffler.

A proper tune. If et is important, drag radials. Ultra pro mag rockers. Would help. What is your goal?

Lca, torque arm, wonder bar, springs. Good tires, fiberglass hood. Subframe connectors . Basically lightening the car and strengthening the frame.
