cam choice
I'm Building A Drift Missile Outta My T/A. Got A Brand New Cam From A Friend, But It's A .534 Lift, 245 In/Out, Advertised 295 In/Out. Would This Be A Good Cam Or No? It Will Be On The Street At Times As Well.

Sorry, Was Doing This On The Phone And It Hates Me. 350 Chev, Going To Put Vortec Heads, I'm going to switch over from fuel injection to a carburetor, and also it's going to be the stock 704 I'm going to have rebuilt, I'll should change the rear gear out to probably a 4.11 Ratio... as for the cam its a flat tappet cam not a roller cam.

To take advantage of that cam the heads will need some serious work, the bottom end should be rebuilt and balanced. You will need a decent stall.
4.11s with 700r4 is going to give you 70 at about 3k rpm
EFI to a carb is a bit of a downgrade
Roller to flat tappet is a major downgrade.
That cam is not going to be super streetable.

Re: cam choice
Not Gonna Be A Street Car Anymore, And I Have No Want For EFI. I Am Planning To Go Into The Bottom End, And Was Planning 3.73 Gears But I Was Told To Go Higher. Don't Know Why. the Vortec heads that I've gotten from the machine shop have already been cleaned up shaved as well is gone completely through they were meant to be a circle track race car..
