I've been using Mobil1 10W-30 "High Mileage" due to its higher ZDDP content of 1,100 mg/l in my '86. You could choose a racing oil or diesel oil like Delvac 1300 (1,300 mg/l) but the excess is probably not necessary for a cam that is already broken in.

I'm with Vader on this one... I've been using Mobil1 in various forms (conventional and synthetic) for years and have never had an issue. Have 178k on my '00 vortec 350 and it's clean under the valve covers. My father ran mobil1 in his '00 3/4 ton van and it was over 350k with no issues.
