headlight switch problems

Hi i had someone replace my headlight switch now whenever i turn on my headlights all my gauges (except speedometer & gas) go crazy then dont work. Switch to bright lights headlight start blinking off & on.
Cant afford a visit to mechanic shop right now but i can work on my 1986 iroc myself if i know what to look for or do to it. Do you think its a grounding problem or maybe relay problem pls help thank you.

Re: headlight switch problems

My first guess would be a grounding problem. What I have learned about these cars that bad grounding makes everything act crazy.

If that do not correct the problem I would look online for the wire diagrams for your car and make sure the person who installed your light switch done everything correctly.
