Please help spark issues 90 model camaro

Ok guys I'm posting this here in hope someone will get back to me ok so the full story is this I went to my gf house to pick her up I have a 90 model iroc 350 TPI and it drove fine up there when we left I cranked the car up and took it down the road I noticed at higher rpms my car would nose-dive and no power would go out the car and there was a lot of popping from the tail pipe (what I assumed was unburnt fuel) I managed to get it home and as I am sitting in the driveway it stoped running properly at all barley staying alive so I killed it upon trying to crank it later I found it wasn't spinning over so me and my dad did the shade tree mechanic thing and sprayed laqur thinner in the butterfly on the TPI and tried spinning it over and when we did nothing just spun and spun and I smelt strong gas so I knew it was getting fuel,
so we checked spark next pulled out several plugs on both sides... Nothing, moved up the line to the distributor nothing so then we hoped over to the coil now we had spark there at the top of the coil (by that I mean we had spark at the plug wire prong that connects the coil to the distributor) but it wasn't a very strong spark, orange in color and not very big and bright, so we assumed the coil was bad and wasn't generating a big enough spark to run through the plug wire connecting the coil and distributor cap, so we then went and got a coil off of my dads 89 gta firebird (a coil that we know is good) and put it on my camaro, and pluged it all back up and hit the switch, car never started, it spin like hell but it never cranked,
So I assumed whatever powered the coil (I thought the battery) was weak but my dad mentioned if the battery can spin over the engine than it's more than strong enough to send a powerful enough spark so at this point we are lost guys and I need y'all's help I'm gonna post some relevant stuff below and leave it to u guys sorry about the long *** post and I appreciate all the help more than u know
•This car had a newish (couple months old) ignition module
•my vats has been crossed out
•small weak spark at the coil even on a good coil
•one of my dads friends said he had a camaro that did similar to mine and his problem was a broken fin on the distributor don't know if that'll help u guys
Anyway thanks for all the help

It might be the pickup coil in the distributor (or other things). Do some trouble shooting on it. If its bad, either replace the coil or the complete distributor.

Ok thanks mate but what does the "pickup coil" actually do I didn't even know this thing was there and if it's in the distributor and I'm not getting any power over to the distributor could this still be the problem???? I'm confused

"And I'm not getting any power over to the distributor"

Crap, missed that. Check your ignition control module again.

A lot has to happen before the coil.

Does the ignition module come before the coil in order? This is throwing me for a loop like I said I get a spark at the top of the coil but it seems like it's not strong enough to run through the plug wire connecting the coil and the cap much less through the distributor and down the plug wires to the cylinders

Are your wires any good? Have you tested the main wire from the coil to the cap? Here is a wiring diagram for your car. Follow it out, it may help.

Yea, we replaced that wire between the coil and cap with one we knew was good and still nothing I'll check over the other wires really good in the meantime I'm gonna get a new ignition module iv heard the primary pack of coils in the ignition coil ground out through that module and if it's going bad that could make a bad ground and lower the spark power and because what my car was doing is RIGHT in line with those things MO when they go bad and I know those damn things are so crazy lol could very possibly be it anymore help u can provide would be great
