Air filter with best filtration?

I've always run a K&N but now I live down a dirt road and I have an SLP cold air box.

I would like to go back to a paper filter but I specifically want one that will keep the maximum amount of dust out of my engine as possible. I don't care about a tiny loss in power, I care about not wearing down my rings/cylinder walls any faster lol. Plus the dust here is corrosive limestone :/

Thanks!

Alex

What does your current filter look like?

This is what I'm using on my LS swaps. Do a good job of stopping even the small stuff.

Re: Air filter with best filtration?

Any brand name paper filter such as Fram, Wix or Delco will be fine. Change it often since they are cheap. Don't follow other cars too close.

Re: Air filter with best filtration?

We had a recent training seminar and the general upshot of it was, that the accumulation of dust in the filter actually aids the filtering .

Up to a point of course.

So basically your filter performance will increase untill you decide to clean it.

Better to replace than clean a paper filter

just saying....
