305 tbi to 350 tpi help

The 350 is coming out of a 89 gta 350 with a certificate of destruction that was an automatic car but my 91 is a 305 with a 5 speed manual, I was told I wouldn’t be able to get the 350 tpi to run with the manual car? Anyone know anything about this?

Re: 305 tbi to 350 tpi help

the car will run with a manual transmission . However you will benefit form a custom tune.
Is the 91 tbi or tpi ? If it’s tbi I would add the injector pigtail and repin the ecm to a 1227730 ecm.
If its tpi already just get your memcal reprogrammed. Here is a thread on the 746 to 730 ecm.

Sure it will. You will have to get a custom chip burned since there was no 5spd 350 cars but it will work. I'm soon to be swapping an L98 engine into my L03 car but am going with an upgraded TBI setup instead of using the TPI.

You could also find a harness from a 90-92 tpi speed density by posting a ad in the classifieds section.
If your not confortable repinning the ecm connector. Here are the connectors needed. If you need a ecm and or chip if you do decide to go speed density send me a pm for reprogramming and possibly a ecm if I have one at the time. I do have one right now.

Tpi maf can be done with the harness you have you just need to double check the firewall connectors pinout. This connector is called c100.
