89 Camaro park/tail lights stay on when fuse is in. (Help)

My 89 camaro z28 park/tail lights stay on when fuse is in fuse box. I replaced headlight switch but still same issue. Any help would be great! Power from tail fuse went to this brown wire i circled. Is that correct?

Yup, that'll be the taillight wire leading away from the sw toward the fuse.

Actually, power goes FROM that brown wire, to the fuse. Power flow is batt -> hl sw -> fusebox -> tl fuse -> Fisher body connector -> tl

Are they turned off now with the sw unplugged? (I'm gonna guess, they're still lit) Aftermarket alarm in the car?

according to my schematic that I have it says that slot is unused. There was a slot with no wire toward the back of switch so I tried running the tail power from fuse box to the rear and now it works.

That makes no sense at all.

In the process you must have eliminated the connection from, and bypassed, (wired around, by way of your new path) the aftermarket alarm.

not sure. When I bought the car the fuse was out. Everything is good now except the door chime/buzzer stays on while key is on.

Probably because one of the purposes of the door chime is to remind you to turn off the lights before you get out of the car; but since the aftermarket alarm you need to find and remove is keeping the lights on, ... the door chime is always on too.

Rewiring a car to "fix" a problem is hardly ever A Good Idea. MUCH BETTER to find the actual problem and fix that instead.
