Lost keys on 1992 carb swap

Car: 1992 Camaro RS
Engine: Vortec 350
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.42 10 bolt
Lost keys on 1992 carb swap
Could I change to a standard Chevrolet ignition and be able to unlock my shifter? I have the motor out at the moment and need to move the car, but if there is a way for me to not have to change it again once I get it ready to start, I would appreciate the info.

Unhook the shifter cable at the trans, move the trans out of Park, move the car, put the trans back in Park
