l98 Cam sugestions

I building a l98 out of an 87 vette for my 85 Z28 looking for a mild cam was thinking about l98 super cam. Im using 1.6 roller tip rockers and stock tpi intake, trying to keep stock pushrods and valve train.

What engine management system are you using, if you are staying close to stock on everything, check out TPIS Inc, they have a ZZ9 that sounds like exactly what you are looking for... check it out.

Re: l98 Cam sugestions

I used this can in a more or less stock TPI that was run by a chipped stock computer, it worked VERY WELL.... Mind you , I had a racers prep on the engine, pay special attention to the porting from the airfoil to the valves and you need headers.... (Dyno Don)

Im using stock computer and prom I think that might be too much lift with 1.6 rockers and stock springs, did you have to use different push rods?

Re: l98 Cam sugestions

Not different pushrods, if you think it's a bit too much cam, stick with a 1.5's on it, then if you modify the rest of the engine a bit more, add the 1.6's later, the cam will already be in there.
