83 Z28 fuel pump assembly

Restoring an 83 Z28 and down to the fuel pump. Basically it is destroyed and rusted solid. What years are interchangeable for 83? I see 85 and up but no 83. Any help would be appreciated. Part number, place to get one used or new.

Mike

looks like a non-original,hack-job replacement on a CFI...TPI pump is often used as a replacement on CFIs:dead-head pressure is higher on the TPI pump-but regulator controls the pressure,so works fine on the CFI.

Get a new tank, and get the Spectra sending unit. The other one out there for sale really doesn't have the right angle on the float arm.

Get a fuel pump kit with a Walbro 255 or an AEM/Deatschwerks turbine pump in 255 LPH. Here's a kit for a good price:

I got the tank but need the sending unit including the fuel gauge sender. I have an external pump so the pump I not the biggest concern.

Just use the Spectra for the TPI cars. Adapt lines as needed. And the later tank has the anti-slosh baffling also which is probably what you have.
