vortec FI build - nitrile fuel lines & clamped barb fittings

Hey squad

working through my L31 build (usual deal, LT4 Hotcam, springs etc. for lift, and a fruity pro flo XT on top), and I've somewhat in cruise control been plumbing the fuel lines with nitrile hose (cotton braided) and barb fittings with hose clamps supposedly for fuel injection. This will connect to the chassis hardlines.

Whilst I have n AFPR, I don't intend to run more than the stock TPI 40psi (injectors I think are reasonably sized at 28 lb/hr).

My question; providing parts are correctly fitted, would this setup cause concern for you? Not looking to over-engineer this build but similarly want to keep things safe. Running the injector rails in parallel if that makes a difference.

Random picture of the engine some weeks ago

thanks!

I wouldn't.

Ever seen how much fuel comes out of a leaky high-pressure FI line, and how far it goes?

Not a risk I personally would feel comfortable with.

Yeah, lines & fittings with suitable capabilities cost more; but how much is your car worth? Your life? The life of your significant other and your children? Not the right place to try to "save" acoupla pence.
