Re: MAF
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say no , because Rock Auto lists the 86 Camaro 2.8 V6 MAF as AC Delco 2133447 and the 86 Firebird 2.8 V6 MAF as AC Delco 2133450 . Different numbers likely means there is some difference between the two , who knows , the difference may be subtle or totally unworkable , but since there is a difference you'd best stick to what the parts lists say belongs in your car .

Re: MAF
Well, I'd rather be whatever I am, than someone who CAN'T EVEN READ THE LABEL ON THE SIDE OF THEIR OWN CAR.
That said Orange is probably right,. OTOH you could try it and see, who knows, you might get lucky. (well at least the MAF might work)

Re: MAF
AFAIR, all 86 Camaros have air filters in front of the radiator. All 86 Firebirds have the air filter behind the right front headlight. The air intake tubes are different and thus the MAFs are different. The real problem with those 35 year old systems is finding a decent replacement MAF. I've gone through multiple from different suppliers looking for a single good one. Are you running a 1986 GM 2.8 V6 in the MG? If so, and it needs a MAF, good luck. You would be so much better off swapping up to a 3.1 or newer 3.4. Much better engine and if you go with the early 90s version electronics, it's speed density, no MAF sensor.

Re: MAF
What are you doing for an air cleaner? Managing airflow into the MAF is critical to MAF accuracy. Having it laying open as in the photo could be part of your trouble. Be sure to check your circuits. The MAF sensor needs 12v from the relay, a good ground and signal path to the ECM. In your installation, I don't know that the Camaro MAF wouldn't work okay.
