transmission break down quick question

So I have to remove my VSS which isn’t a huge deal. Only issue is only the sealed part is still inside and the insides are removed .

What is left inside the tranny (700r4)

does anyone have any ideas on getting this out? Also , will I lose a lot of transmission fluid in the process? And will the gear for the sensor fall into the extension housing? I am not highly experienced by any stretch in the car world so these are me trying to understand. If you have any questions about what I’m askin just leave them below I check on this a couple times a day

Sure. Pull the tail shaft housing, and push it out from the inside.

You'll lose "some" but not "a ton". A few ounces at most. Just have your drain pan in place before popping the ext hsg off.
