i plan on dropping a 350 crate motor in my 91 RS. i Live in CA so it has to pass smog. I am keeping the cat on but how do i get it so my smog pump and all those gay little things work. pretty much what i am asking is what does my smog pump and all those tubes connect to?

 

I'm not so sure I understand what the question is, but all the smog stuff will just swap over to the 350 no problem.

just hook everything up as it was on the 305.

Is it all disconnected and you need to know where it goes??

One thing, when you go to get it smogged, make sure you don't say its a 350 now. As far as the smog ***** are concerned, its a 305. (you would be amazed how many people cause problems for theirselves by telling the smog people its a different motor)....

I have a 92 RS, that came with a 305 TBI motor and 5 speed trans. Swapped in a 300HP 350 crate motor last summer (from goautocenter.com).Just brought over all the accessories from the 305, except for the injectors,knock sensor and module (from 350 TBI truck).You may also need a chip change.

With the single snorkel air cleaner installed, my car still passes smog in California as a 305.

hey what is the module. i knew about changeing the knock sensor, injectors, chip(possibly) but never heard of having to change the module. what is it and how mcuh they run? thanx

It is the electronic spark control module. It helps control the timing and I believe it translates the signal from the knock sensor to the computer. Some people say it is not necesary to change but if you want the best performance and drivability I would do it so that you have the right thing. I believe that you can use the one for the 350 tpi.
