Re: Best Drop In High Output Alternator?

Just want to report back that I have been driving with the new Powermaster Alternator for over a month since I started this post in 100*+ weather with the AC on and aftermarket sub/amplifier with no issues as of yet. Idling in stop and go traffic with under hood temps over 150*....so far so good. Waiting for it to fail so I can buy a more expensive alternator that won't.

Re: Best Drop In High Output Alternator?

I got a call from Mechman. They were very nice. I told them an earlier customer who is also TGO member saved me on Saturday. I told him it would be helpful to have some kind of notice on the website at the very least. Also an internal diagram of the alternator. He said he had spoken with someone else about this a few months ago. Anyway, he said he would change the way his harnesses were made so that it works with both if that's possible but that he would certainly take care of it. He thanked me and said he's been having trouble with all the little harness changes in those years.

140 amp.

I've had mine for over a year now I think... never goes before 14.2V even at idle. Its feeding my 2 speed Taurus electric fan, EFI, stereo, etc, even at night with all the lights on.
How did you wire it to work? I don't see an adapter harness to go from the stock CS130 male plug to the AD244
