Charcoal canister hose routing

Hey all, got some questions about re-adding a charcoal canister. Recently finished my 85 TA build, it's a carb'd 355, and I want to make sure I hook up the canister correctly.

I have three ports:
One 1/4" line coming out of the top, I believe this runs to vacuum on the carb? Can this line be tee'd into the distributor vacuum advance, or would that hurt functionality and response of the advance?
One 5/16" line below the first, labelled PCV. This ties into the PCV line, I'm guessing. Can I tee into the current line between carb and valve cover?
One 3/8" line labelled fuel tank. I understand this one comes from the tank, no questions with this one.

I did look for this specific info, but it seems there are several different canisters and differing opinions on usage. Thanks!

The 1/4 line can tee into any vacuum line. It just needs vacuum to activate the valve to allow PCV line suction to pull air from the gas tank.
The 5/16 line can tee into any line the PCV is on.

Re: Charcoal canister hose routing

Thank you both for the responses. Since I removed all of my other emissions equipment, I cannot find a diagram that shows exactly what I have, but from what I can glean from the diagrams and Aaron's recommendation I am going to tee into the distributor advance, and between the PCV valve and carburetor. Thanks guys

Re: Charcoal canister hose routing

Just get hose rated for fuel use. Like most of the parts New old stock is not a option . Could get the p/n from the illustrated parts manual and search the Internet but why

Re: Charcoal canister hose routing

So it doesn't need to be a special hose to connect to this?
