LT1 starter for L03 with T5 & Hooker 2055’s?

Hello all,
I am putting Hooker 2055 Headers and want to upgrade from the old-time 50 lb giant starter to the LT1 style.
Will any LT1 era gear reduction starter fit in a T5 bell housing?
Where would you recommend getting a starter?
O’Reillys, Napa, Autozone, Advance?
A Chevy dealer said they don’t make new Delco Remy starters anymore, everything’s remanufactured. Thank you for any replies.

Re: LT1 starter for L03 with T5 & Hooker 2055’s?

I had a b-body lt1 starter (literally a junk yard starter) using a T5, fit just fine and has worked for years. I see no reason a corvette or f-body starter wouldn't fit.
All reman units are a gamble these days. Cheaper price 'usually' still means cheaper product.
