Oem Style Spark Plug Wires

I believe that the oem plug wires are make by "packard". Is there a source for these wires or something similar that are length fitted? I believe that my wires on '84 T/A 305 are orig with 21000 miles but 37 years old!

Re: Oem Style Spark Plug Wires

AC Delco did the trick when I replaced mine and have the stock type look. But there are plenty of options out there for stock and Packard brand might still be available on Rockauto.

I found mine on Amazon but Rockauto.com has them as well and might even have packards too.

Re: Oem Style Spark Plug Wires

The little packet of dielectric grease included in the AC Delco kit was a nice touch. I thought they were a bit long overall but that's preferable to the alternative.

No idea if they're identical to OE stock; I was surprised to learn the modern AC Delco wiper blade replacements were somewhat different. No complaints with their function though. I got mine at rockauto, they usually have good prices on AC Delco stuff.

Re: Oem Style Spark Plug Wires

The P.E.D. (Packard Electrical Division) of General Motors no longer exists.

The closest product that resembles the original P.E.D. Ignition Wire Set...
would be (as already stated) AC Delco (7mm) Ignition Wires.

However, since high quality 8mm Spiral-Core Ignition Wire Sets are plentiful and very affordable...
I see no reason to purchase anything else.

Good luck and have fun!

Re: Oem Style Spark Plug Wires

I have black AC Delco wires on mine. I got them from Summit. They may not be 100% identical, but they're close enough...

Re: Oem Style Spark Plug Wires

I got black AC Delco wires.

They have white letters with " 8 mm " (I don't know it's true. I will measure next weekend)

I confused, previous to install, with lenghts: What lenght for what plug number?

Re: Oem Style Spark Plug Wires

The AC Delco 8mm Ignition Wire Sets are still highly available.

The original type 7mm P.E.D. Wire Sets are long gone, just like...
Delco Remy Division, Delco Rochester Products Division, and so many others.
