Ok so here go.. I have a 1987 Camaro iroc-z (non vats car) the car sat for a few years when I got it she had no power at all to anything.. I cleaned all the connections and grounds under the hood and also fixed the fusible link at the starter and restored all power back.. found out the fuel pump was shot so I replaced it and drained all the bad gas and put fresh gas in (now works).. I also replaced the distributor cap/rotor/ignition control module.. as of now it’s cranking and getting spark but not gas. I pulled the fuel rail and bench tested the fuel injectors and they all spray none leak (one sprays on the weak side) but none the less the harness should still send a pulse right? I put the fuel rail back in with injectors attached but didn’t seat the injectors to visibly see if they’re spraying and nothing.. kinda stumped here can anyone shed some light please

 

The ECM needs to get a signal from the distributor that the engine is cranking before it will pulse the injectors. Do you have a service manual?

 

Thank you for the reply! I think the ecm might just be the issue here as the engine light is not coming in when I turn the key also.. I’m picking up a Haynes manual today.

Will it turn over with the key? My 88 formula ran last year and I have it painted now and won't turn over with the key. I have installed a remote trigger switch and runs on starting fluid. Has fuel pressure. No injector pulse. Fuse are good. The fuse buy the battery goes where? I have a 85 Camaro service manual. How close is that when trouble shooting

 

Skip the haynes manual. Get a real factory service manual for the car. They ain't inexpensive, but, it is for your car specifically, from the manufacturer. FAR superior to any haynes/chilton/whathaveyou.
