Not getting spark

So I just finished my new engine build but turns out it’s getting no spark. Not really sure what it could be, but full disclosure, I fabricated the ignition and tach wire to the distributor because my new distributor has the coil in the cap and it was a different connector, but the way I did it I don’t see how it wouldn’t work. Just curious if anyone has any ideas of what it could be. Engine is a Vortec 350 with a carb if that matters.

Re: Not getting spark

Ok I take it back, I’m pretty sure it’s the fact that I didn’t put my ignition module back in the car lol. But considering it’s not in the distributor anymore, can anyone explain to me how to hook it up with a different kind of distributor?

Re: Not getting spark

Hook what up?

With the coil-in-cap dist, the whole thing is self-contained. Module is inside the dist. All it needs to work, is power. (pink wire) for the tach to also work it needs the other wire. (white)
