CCC Compatible Camshaft?
Im trying to plan out a future rebuild of my stock L69 engine and was hoping for some advice on a better cam/heads combo.
Ive been leaning towards Comp Cams XE-262
Dur: 218in/224ex @ .5"
Dur: 262in/270ex
Lift: 0.462in/0.469ex
110 LSA
I don't want crazy cam, just one that is still compatible with CCC and would complement the headers/exhaust setup im getting soon, I'd appreciate any good word of mouth on heads to go with it.
Thanks!

What is driving the requirement to stick with the CCC? You are throwing originality out the window with headers/exhaust and aftermarket heads so why not run something else for fueling?

Unfortunately, Colorados emissions, otherwise I would have swapped the Distributor and Carb by now

That cam will not work with a stock ECM.
You need to keep the duration to no more than 220 and the LSA at least 112 degrees...

Re: CCC Compatible Camshaft?
He is likely referring to total. A 260/270 cam is pretty massive in a 305. Add that to the 110 LSA and it will be way too much for a CCC. Large cubes tend to "swallow" cams. So the opposite is true for small cubes. I have a XFI 280 in a 406 and you can definitely tell it has a cam, even with its higher LSA.
I would think maybe a smaller XFI would be a good choice for you. They are supposed to be designed for computer controlled setups and all have 113 LSAs.

Dur: 212in/218ex @ 0.5

Summit says it's CCC compatible, and it seems a lot more tame then the prior, regardless, thanks for the word of advice

Re: CCC Compatible Camshaft?
When Summit says computer controlled compatible that doesn't necessarily directly mean "Computer Controlled Carburetor" compatible. They are mainly saying those are compatible with say a TBI/TPI type fuel injection. The CC carbs are totally different animals. TBI/TPI has a whole lot of capabilities with tuning for mods. I am pretty sure those carbs don't but I honestly have zero experience with the CCC and their actual capabilities/limits when it comes to tuning. So I don't feel like I can accurately answer, so I will see what others have to say.
My thoughts however are that is certainly better than the first option. You will have to watch your valve lift with whatever heads you end up getting. And carefully match valve springs to them as well. If they have a cam one "size" down from that, that would probably be best. .5 lift would be too much for stock heads for sure without some work.
