Heads for 305

I have a completely rebuilt 305 short block that's been sitting in my garage for years. it has a mild after market cam and hypetec flat tops, and a after market 2 plane alum intake, 600 cfm Holley carb. I know 081 heads were common on many 305's ...will they flow enough to support 300 hp @ the flywheel ?

Yes. Even as cast.

Don't get greedy, at least, not if you're talking about a street kinda deal.

I like the 601 heads. I believe the combustion chamber is slightly different shaped.
