no start after i stall it
my Camaro ran great until i switched it from an automatic to a 6 speed. It never stalled when it was automatic but now i tend to stall it with the 6 speed pulling out. When it stalls it will not restart it just cranks and cranks unless i shut the switch off and turn it back on and listen to the fuel pump run then i restart it and it fires up. Is there a check valve in the fuel system to keep pressure in it for a short period of time or do i have another problem. I have replaced fuel pump, fuel pump relay, fuel filter, and fuse. Other than that problem it runs great

When it stalls, if you put the accelerator to full throttle and try cranking it....will it start then?

As for the second question, yes, there is a check valve in the system at the pump to maintain pressure in the rails, but it is almost useless if the pump is not running. The first injector pulse (all of them simultaneously) will dump nearly all residual pressure in the system. There is no accumulator, so the pump must be running to maintain pressure. As such, the check valve really only helps keep the fuel lines and rails filled so the pump can quickly build sufficient pressure in its 2-second prime cycle when the ignition is turned on. Far too many people place far too much emphasis on the check valve due to a misunderstanding of its function. It's similar to the incorrect interpretation of the function of the auxiliary oil pressure switch in that regard.
The fact that when you cycle the ignition the system does cycle the fuel pump (sometimes), but it also resets the temporary IAC step count adders.

= this test....
I think that it's flooding then stalling. WOT While cranking = starting, will confirm that.

Does this mean i need a computer from a Camaro that came with a stick shift? My problem is they didn't make a 92 Camaro with a 350 that had a stick shift. would one from a 305 work? thanks

Tuned port injection i assume? This is a t56 swap ? Do you have a Vss signal to the ecm by using a Dakota digital sgi-100bt ?
if that’s done you can get or create a custom tune in $8D starting with the 90-91 vette calibration for zf AXCN code and use timing from AUJP .

Did you ever confirm if it was stalling b/c it's flooding, or not? I had to deal with this once upon a time

I wonder if someone is now making a 4K pulse VSS for the T56, or if the add-on or converter box is still the way to go.
