rattle problem update

Well guys i havent been able to check my timing but my engine light came on and it showed code 36. the light went off by itself so im not sure what thats all about but while washing my car yesterday i noticed a smell of rotten eggs coming from under my car. MY CAT must be going. Could that be my rattle problem? I know it can cause power loss. Well i dont think im going to replace it, ill just bore it out. Let me know what u guys think. Remember the rattle only comes during hard acceleration.

I could be wrong but usually the smell of rotten eggs is a bad battery. I've never smelled rotten eggs from a catalytic converter before.

Yes its your cat on its way out. Usually they smell after you've been riding on it hard, but even if during normal conditions its starts to smell, yank it!

And yes it could be causing a rattle (ping)
