Fuel shortage when cornering quickly
When I turn the car sharply when I'm low of fuel, the fuel all runs to one side of the tank and the pump just sucks air until the car levels itself out again. Appart from not doing the fuel pump any good it is extremley annoying. I seem to remember hearing that some cars came with a baffle in the tank to prevent this from happening. Was this with the 1LE cars or was introduced in a later year? My car is an 87 IROC 305TPI.
Suggestions on how to cure this annoyance would be verymuch appreciated.
Thanks for the time

1LEs had the same tanks as everyone else, they just had a different pickup assembly. The whole thing pivoted so that the feed would follow the fuel on hard cornering.
Check out this post, too. I posted some pics.

I'm under the assumption that your car already has this tank, but if you ever replace it, I'd really like you to come back and let me/us know for sure.

I'd just fill up sooner.
