Help with LT1 intake conversion!!!AHHHH!!!!
I am about 2 run the LT1 intake conversion from LT1intake.com and I just found out from my buddy that I might be lean on 2 of my clynders because of the differnce in firing order between the LT1 and the TPI.
Anyone know anything about this? Senior Member

The firing order is the same as it always was...Lt1's are no different. The only thing I do recommend is a PROM burn to not be running lean or rich. Your ECM now will see a lot more air then it's used to, so you need to recalibrate the PROM.

Firing order? What is he smoking? All you are changing is the intake............
He's been reading too many magazines and not doing enough wrenching. Only the LS1s have a different firing order. Kinda hard to screw it up, though since there's a seperate coil for each cylinder right above it.

I've heard of air distribution problems to the #7 and #8 cylinders with the LT1 intake on forced induction setups ....but it's definitely NOT because of the timing. Maybe that's what he means???

Ok heres what he had so say:
actually as soon as you left I remembered why it runs lean. The fuel lines run differently for the LT1 intake over the L98 style. This causes the lean condition
Anyway that is the reason it had 2 lean cylinders. After alot of research into why it ran like **** it was determined that due to the way the fuel lines run for the LT1 and the injector pulse it caused a lean condition. After changing to the L98 intake no more lean cylinders

If that were the case we would re-route our fuel lines instead of burning proms.
