What do you think I'll run with this setup?
Its almost back together so its got me wondering if all this work is going to pay off ...give me some ideas on what it'll run so I won't be too dissapointed if it runs slower than expected...
- Originally L98 TPI 350 converted to a Holley 750cfm
- Hedman 1 5/8" headers, 3" all the way back into Hooker Aero-Chamber muffler
- Edelbrock Performer RPM intake
- Fully ported iron L98 heads
- GMPP LT4 HOT cam (218/228 @.050, .492/.492, 112lsa)
- 3.27 posi, stock 700R4 and convertor (for now)
- about 250-300lbs taken off the whole car
With good tuning and traction do you think very low 13's are possible? My next round of mods will be a 2800-3000'ish torque convertor and I'm thinking of spraying 50-75 shot ...stock bottom end, I know, I actually trust it. If I blow something up I have nothing to lose anyway.
When the car was bone stock it ran 14.4 @ 94mph. I really want to see some mid 12's on spray. Think its possible?

My guess would be the mid 13 range 13.3-13.5 possible, course that's just my opinion.
I'm not an expert on carbs, but do you think 750cfm is a bit much for that setup?
I'd say with 3:42 gears and the right converter you'll hit high 12s easy.

Gears are in the future but since I have a 9-bolt they are way outta my budget right now. I'd be really happy with 13.3's on motor. As for the 750 being too big I don't think it is at all when tuned. I have the same throttle response, power, and I get almost the same gas milage with the carb as I did with TPI. I don't think anyone with a 350ci+ can go wrong with a Holley 750
