Long Trip, New Squeak !HELP!
Long Trip, New Squeak !HELP!
I own a 1992 Chevy camaro RS (TBI) with approximately 97000 miles on it. Me and a few friends drove to George and back this weekend the whole trip put approximately 1050 miles on the car, on the way back I noticed a squeaking coming from what appeared to be the front right tire, also an occasional lower pitched squeak coming from the back. Also the car pulls to the right when I stop now and occasionally locks up the front right tire when I stop at 20 and below. Furthermore all the squeaking stops when I apply the brakes. I kept the car on the road the whole time and didn’t hit anything during the trip. I am thinking it’s the brakes; perhaps the front left caliper is going and causing the pull by making the front right one work harder. As for the squeak maybe its brake dusts. Any ideas, I want to know how serious this is and get it fixed A.S.A.P.
Oh and the 170.00 speeding ticket I got in George was great, thanks Lowdness County!

One thing is certain. Your front brakes are shot. For a couple hundred bucks, you can get new stock brake calipers, pads, rotors, lines, fluid, and new wheel bearings. A couple hours with a jack, jackstands, and tools will do it. It is very easy. And I feel worth the money over rebuilding, etc...
